Albury-Wodonga Photo Session Locations
Living in Albury-Wodonga, we’re spoiled for choice with a huge range of stunning locations to choose from for your photo session.
Here are some of my favourite places for photo sessions!
Stockmans Bridge, Wodonga
Nestled against the backdrop of Wodonga Creek, the Stockmans Bridge is a favourite of mine for both morning and afternoon shoots. The morning sunlight filters through the trees, creating a soft, calming light, whilst the afternoon sunset provides for the most magnificent golden hour tones.
I love the variety of backdrops in this spot: the flowing river, the rustic bridge, and an open field. It’s sure to make for some dramatic variety in your gallery!
Huon Hill, Wodonga
A Wodonga classic, and for a reason! The sweeping views of the landscape below, with views to the weir and Albury-Wodonga, coupled with the play of light and shadow, make Huon Hill an excellent choice for dramatic and awe-inspiring shots. If you’re after a sunset session, this is your spot!
Eastern Hill, Albury
Another classic, and another favourite spot for extraordinary sunsets. I love Eastern Hill for the beautiful walking trail, that is sure to keep the busiest of little ones entertained as they adventure along it! If your little one is on the move, Eastern Hill is perfect for a candid, toddler-led session, filled with the most authentic photographs captured as your family explores this beautiful landscape.
The Magic Forest, Stanley
‘It really is just magic’ is what you’ll hear me say in a Magic Forest photo session. The dappled sunlight filtering through the trees, coupled with the natural textures and colours; it’s whimsical, fantastical, ethereal. This is one of my most favourite locations for a maternity session. Pregnancy is a transformational experience, one I think is well reflected in the awe-inspiring imagery of the Magic Forest.
McFarlanes Hill, Wodonga
This is another favourite of mine for little ones on the move. There’s so many places to explore and so many different backdrops: a pond, the classic dirt road, and a beautiful hill for sunsets! The sun also drops behind the hill a bit earlier here, so it’s a good spot for an earlier photo session, but one where you can still get a beautiful sunset!
This spot is a bit more adventurous and not one I recommend for those with any mobility issues.
Hume Weir
I couldn’t possibly give you recommendations for photo shoot locations without including the weir. It’s fun. It’s dramatic. And I bet there’s probably a spot on the weir somewhere that’s close to your heart, making it the perfect spot for your photo session. Bring a towel, because I don’t discourage kids from getting in the water!
Thanks for taking a stroll through my favourite Albury-Wodonga photoshoot spots! Each location holds a special place in my heart, and I hope you can envision the magic they can bring to your sessions.
